Irmangka-Irmangka Traditional Bush Medicine. All Purpose Balm.

Regular price $60.00 AUD

Benefits

Traditionally used by our people to aid in the relief of arthritis, muscle aches and pain, strains and sprains, bruising, as a chest rub for colds and flus, applied to the temples to ease headache symptoms, for insect bites, stings, and as a repellent, for skin irritations, eczema and psoriasis, grazes, minor scratches and abrasions, burns and sunburn, nappy rash and infantile eczema, as well as an all-over body moisturiser or for dry and cracked lips.

Suitable For

Every person is different, their immune systems are different, some are strong and some are weak; diets are different and can affect how and why illness appears differently from one person to the next. It can also depend on the severity and how long a person may be suffering from their issue which would mean the bush medicine would need to be used for a longer period. If the bush medicine doesn’t solve the issue completely, it will certainly provide relief upon application.

Ingredients

Olive Oil has anti-inflammatory properties as well as moisturising the skin.

Beeswax has many healing properties, so it made sense to include it as a key ingredient. As bees are part of the pollination process for the trees as they grow beautiful flowers, they have their own cultural connection for us.

Irmangka Irmangka translates to “Bush Medicine” in our Kokatha/Yunkanyjatjara language. It has been used as a healing medicine by our ancestors for hundreds of years. Commonly known as Emu Bush, it’s an arid plant grown in the Western and Central desert regions of SA throughout our homelands.

How To

Rub into the affected area 2 times daily until symptoms ease. Safe to use during pregnancy.

We make it the way we were taught and have found a good consistency with our blend after all these years. We pick, we process the leaves, we infuse and solidify, and we jar. Ready to heal.
