On Growth, Change, and Support
Have you ever looked back at something that started so quietly and wondered how on earth it grew into what it is today?
I've found myself doing that a lot lately.
Not because of numbers or milestones, but because of people.
Because every single jar we've wrapped, every story you've shared, every message you've sent and every order you've placed has led us to this moment.
When Shane and I first began making our Irmangka-Irmangka Bush Medicine, we weren't trying to build a business.
We were simply trying to honour something that has always belonged to this Country.
Knowledge that has survived thousands of years because our Elders protected it, respected it and understood its value.
Funny isn't it...
How something small enough to sit in the palm of your hand can carry something so much bigger than itself.
To most people it's a little black jar.
To us, it's generations of knowledge, resilience, healing and a connection to Country that has never been broken.
The fact that so many of you have welcomed that into your homes is something Shane and I will never take for granted.
The names we recognise every time another order comes through.
You honestly have no idea what that feels like.
Every time you come back for another jar, you're telling us this knowledge still matters.
One of my favourite parts of this journey has been learning alongside you.
So many of you have written to tell me what you've been using your Irmangka-Irmangka for, and more than once I've found myself thinking, 'I never knew it could help with that.'
How beautiful is that?
Knowledge doesn't stop growing just because it's ancient.
It continues to grow every time it's shared.
Sometimes I wonder what our old people would think if they could see where this little black jar has travelled.
From tiny country towns to busy cities.
Across Australia and beyond.
I like to think they'd smile, knowing their knowledge is still doing exactly what it was always meant to do...
Helping people.
As we step into this new chapter, we'd love to ask one small favour.
If our bush medicine has helped you or someone you love, please tell someone about it.
Forward this email.
Share our story.
Recommend us to a friend.
Small businesses don't grow because they have the biggest advertising budgets.
They grow because people believe in what they do.
And if you've ever believed in us, we'd be so grateful if you helped us reach just one more person.
Behind the scenes, we've also been quietly working on some beautiful new bush medicine products, and we can't wait to share them with you when the time is right.
For now though, a freshly brewed batch of our Irmangka-Irmangka has just been hand-poured by Shane and me and is making its way to our distribution centre, ready to ship next week.
If you've ever thought about stocking our bush medicine in your shop, clinic or online store, we'd absolutely love to hear from you. Wholesale enquiries are always welcome at info@
To every beautiful business already sharing our medicine with your community...
Thank you.
There isn't a single time I walk into a store and see one of our little black jars sitting proudly on a shelf that I don't stop and smile.
Not because I see a product.
Because I see culture.
I see our family.
I see thousands of years of knowledge continuing exactly as it was always intended.
Shared.
From one pair of hands...
To another.
With love.
With respect.
And with the hope that the oldest wisdom still has a place in the modern world.
From Shane and me, thank you for walking this journey with us.
Every time you choose a jar, you become part of a story that began thousands of years ago and is still being written today.
That means more than you'll ever know.
With all our love,
Nina & Shane Wright
